Jessy Ribordy is a professional composer, audio designer, narrative designer, and screenwriter, specializing in creating immersive music and sound for film, television, trailers, video games, and other media.

Jessy has had the privilege of working on notable projects such as Two official trailers for A Complete Unknown, Showtime's VICE, HBO, composed for the indie film Gold Dust, as well as advertisements for major brands like Tylenol, Gatorade, Nike, XBOX, ADIDAS, and many others. He frequently collaborates with renowned creative groups, including The Crystal Creative, Score A Score, Aika Music, and Assemble Sound.

Currently, Jessy is also designing sound for ForeFlight, creating innovative audio solutions for their platform. In the past he has also contributed audio design work to the Star Wars series Ahsoka.

Video Game Sound Design and Narrative Work

Jessy has contributed significantly to Alchemy RPG's Lore of Aetherra series, where he served as a writer, character creator, world-builder, and narrative designer OF THE LORE OF AETHERRA BOOKS. He also led the audio department, composing the soundtrack and designing sound for several games, including The Lost Druid, Novarail, and Dark Symmetry.

As a co-founder and narrative lead of indie game studio Mountain Machine Games, Jessy worked on titles such as Elliot And The Beyond, Fight Em', and Mayday: Deep Space (developed with author Daniel H. Wilson).

Screenwriting and Narrative Design

In addition to his work in music and audio, Jessy is also a screenwriter. His latest projects include the sci-fi drama series Calypsan, developed with Ethan Gross (writer of Ad Astra and Fringe), and the thriller musical Manzanita, a unique project that merges his music composition expertise with narrative-driven storytelling.

Personal Life

When he’s not working, Jessy spends time with his wife Aysha (who also serves as his manager and screenwriting partner) and their three children. He is a fan of re-watching thought-provoking films and revisiting his favorite books. Some of his top picks include Gattaca, The Truman Show, Interstellar, The Silmarillion, and Lord of the Rings.

Inspired by composers like Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Phillip Glass, and Max Richter, I bring cinematic depth to every project, creating music that feels both epic and personal.

    Though sci-fi and fantasy are passions of mine, I love embracing new challenges across diverse styles—whether it’s whimsical comedy, sweeping adventure, or intimate orchestral pieces. At the heart of my work is a signature sound that blends nostalgic undertones with emotionally-charged melodies. It’s this distinctive musical fingerprint that ties my compositions together, no matter the genre.

    Ultimately, my goal is to create music that moves, transports, and leaves a lasting impact, regardless of the style or medium. Whether you're seeking a dynamic score for an intergalactic epic or a tender melody, I bring depth, emotion, and nostalgia to every note.
